About Us

Individuals Making Progress Advancing Communities in Texas a registered 501(c)(3) Corporation organized exclusively for charitable, social and educational purposes as defined by the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended. We have a governing board of three Directors. The expertise that our board volunteers bring with them helps us to achieve our mission.
The majority of our social services are provided in concurrence with our annual Backpack to School Bash where we provide backpacks filled with school supplies to many deserving underserved students including children who reside in affordable housing communities, attend title 1 schools, of military families and children of incarcerated parents. Annually IMPACT Texas announces a Backpack to School Bash online registration through PeachJar, and on Facebook at facebook.com/impacttexas2015.
Our Recognizing Everyone Appreciates Compassion and Hope
(REACH); where we giveaway care packages that include beanies, socks and tolietry items to the following underserved populations: street homeless, elderly residing in assisted living communities, veterans and children in foster care. This program was implemented in 2018. This program service of IMPACT Texas is annually between October - December.
We host our Annual Backpack Bash in the following cities; Houston or surrounding area, Temple, and Pflugerville. This program service of IMPACT Texas is annually between June - August.
We are thankful to our many sponsors who donate to our program events and to the Corporations who participate in our Sponsorship Opportunities Program which allows us to meet our mission.
About us
Backpack History
The Backpack to School Bash was an event initiated exclusively for the subdivision where the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) resides; however, there was a greater calling and need to broaden the scope to underserved communities in Travis, Williamson, Bell, Coryell and Harris counties. That's how IMPACT Texas was founded.
2014, we hosted our first Backpack to School Bash and Food Drive where we gave away 50 backpacks and school supplies and in 2015 we hosted our First Annual Backpack to School Bash and Food Drive as a registered Corporation where we gaveaway 110 backpacks.
Our Backpack to School Bash 2016 we gave away over 150 backpacks and the need for our services continue to increase as Pflugerville ISD has multiple Title 1 School in which 50 percent of the children are living below the federal poverty level.

2016, was the first year we served Bell County and gave away backpacks filled with school supplies to underserved students and in 2016 the number of students served was increased.
We hosted our First Annual Backpack to School Bash in Harris County, June of 2017 where we giveaway backpacks and school supplies to children residing in an affordable housing community.
We will continue to host our Backpack to School Bash annually.
